Dr. Cristiane Carvalho is board certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology and has been in private practice with Miami Kidney Group since 2012. She obtains the medical degree in Universidade Estadual de Londrina in Brazil and completed her Internal Medicine Residency and Nephrology Fellowship in the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and Jackson Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Carvalho is a Member of the American Society of Nephrology. In addition, she is active in research and is the principal investigator in several clinical trials for the management of anemia in chronic kidney disease.

Her special interests include the Anemia in Chronic kidney disease, management and prevention of the progression of chronic kidney disease and glomerular diseases.

Dr. Carvalho volunteers as a Clinical Assistant professor in the department of Medicine for Florida Internal University and is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
